water leak

i have a brick garage on a concrete base which is slightly wider than the garage,the result being that water landing on the concrete is seeping into the garage. i am open to suggestions as to how i can prevent this problem.thanks in anticipation'

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I did just as tony suggests with the addition applying a coat of diluted PVA to the area where I was putting the fillet, just make sure the PVA is still wet when you do it to ensure a good seal. I also added some plasterers waterproofer to the mix, not sure that was entirely necessary though.

Fuggy, you're never going to cure this properly without major surgery (chopping the "extra" concrete off on the outside with a Kango)
The other guys have given you the only thing you can do to reduce it.
Think about laying a polythene membrane over the floor, turned up the sides as well, then lay 100mm of concrete over that to raise the floor.
