Future story lines are not boding well ie Sigh-mon and Petah and Leeann and Karlah clash and burn (misspelt deliberatelee), gay Dad marcus shocks Shawn of the living dead (as if), and Karl- not aah - ditching Sunita for security. I mean to say Terry and Tommy and Tina and the swiped from 1986 Eastenders gangster - oh my - was boring enuff but the show is now moving to pure drivel. All this prompts me to ask if there are any screen writers in this country? Has USA scooped the lot? It is now just nonsense. Lets refresh it now Desp H'wives has ended and we need thrills - lets go and enter a Dynasty phase. How's about John Barowman (new character) shows up as Elsie Tanner's long lost grandson to see his uncle Dennis and in due course seduces both Nick, Roy, Tracey and Kylie before they all die in a Gondola disaster on the viaduct? It cd work. Makes about as much sense as any other plot line.
They can all write scripts, it's just that at the moment most of the scripts are rubbish.
If people wrote in to complain about the scripts, perhaps they might do something about it.

I am enjoying the Peter and Leanne custody battle for Simon. It may be an extreme example but it is not unusual for children to be in such a situation. I may be biased because I no longer see my own grandchildren because of a similar thing.
Maria falling for Marcus is understandable too - he's a nice, reliable guy and loves her son, they got on well and she's lonely.
I thought the actress who played Lesley was superb and in my opinion the storyline did not go far enough to show the horror of dementia.
Stella has grown on me, and Karl is the new Jack Duckworth.
Although not perfect, I think the Street handles sensitive and serious topics very well indeed, and at times the humour is sublime.
Yes, but you can't wait nine months in a soap, we'd all be bored if there was no action. They can't always be true to life (they're not REAL after all lol) !
Most of the characters names have been abbreviated Simon is Si, Tina is Ti, Tyrone is Ty, Kevin is Kev, etc, soon everyone will be known by an initial.
Sorry, M, but it's always been that way. Fred for Alfred, Bert for Albert, Liz for Elizabeth, Pat for Patrick (or Patricia), Baz for Barry, Kate for Katherine, Gertie for Gertrude, Peggy for Margaret (yes, it's true), Queenie for Elizabeth..
I always used to prefer Corrie for the humour it injected in, sometimes unexpectedly in the most serious of storylines. Eastenders was always grim, grim and violent. And I grew up the wrong side of the Pennines to entertain Emmerdale Farm. But after I got back from holiday last year to find my Sky HD box had gone wonky and not recorded any Corrie I never bothered watching it again, just got out of the habit. Had that happened if it was still only on twice a week and the scriptwriters could concentrate their efforts a bit more? I think maybe not.
I hated the Tina, Terry, Tyrone and Tommy gangster plot. Too many Ts for a start! I also hate the way Sinata swallows Karl whole, his head almost disappears when she opens her mouth to kiss him Yuk. My favourite is Julie, she is so Corrie.

Do you know the answer?
Why Has Corrie Entered a Further Phase of Nonsense? Can nobody write scripts?
