hiya, what is meant by aqa mathemetics when referring to a gcse? How much would you expect a modular gcse in maths to cost to study as an adult (classes)?

AQA (Assessmesnt and Qualifications Alliance) is the exam board that sets the GCSE (can't help with the cost bit).

At my local college it costs £290, I think it varies by area though.

When I saw this I thought you were going to give me a nudge about another topic (but I'm keeping out of that now as it's harmless I suppose and raises some important points).

Anyway, AQA is one of a number of examining boards.

They were popular because of their modular exams. However the government has said that the modular exams are being phased out, so get in quick and check that you can finish them in time if you want to be fully modular. There's nothing wrong with a linear approach though.

Sorry I don't know about costs at an adult class.

Some secondary schools allow adults into some exam classes - if you can find one in your area, it might be cheaper than night classes, althought he times of the classes will be pretty random.
