My Canadian Sweet Cherry, which I have had for only 3 years and produced a lot of fruit last year, suddenly seems to have gone into a dormant state. It looked ready to burst into bud and then nothing. The only thing different I have done, is feed it liquid seaweed manure when I fed the grapevine behind it, which thrives on that. Is this my fault, or is this a natural occurance with this particular fruit tree. Thanks in advance for any help, Clasher

scrape the bark to see if it is still green if it has died it might have been too close to the grape and been starved to death as vines are huge feeders

Hello Rowanwitch, yes, it's definitely dead, scraped the bark, and broke a branch, just brown dead wood. I hope after that, the grapes produce enough fruit to make a wine to toast the cherry, I really enjoyed the fruit last year along with the Blackbirds as well.
try again in another spot further from the vine...
