Any of you drive a VW Polo? If so, how would you rate it? Would you recommend? Am thinking of making a purchase but am a bit nervous of it.

Her first one was bought on the recommendation of someone in the trade, and they didn't even sell VWs, which is an endorsement. It's quite an old design, which has been tested for a long time and any faults 'ironed out'.
My first and third cars were Polos - quite a while back, the first one was over 10 years old when I eventually sold it (to get something bigger) and was still driving very well - only thing I found wrong with it was the parts were quite expensive. I wish I hadn't sold it sometimes - great little cars.
Hello Cailin.
My car is a Polo and I love it.
A couple of months ago, while waiting at traffic lights, some pillock drove into the back of it. I was given a courtesy car, which was a brand new Mercedes.
After a week of school runs using the Merc, I got my trusty 'old' Polo back.
When I collected my children, they both cheered because 'our beloved little car' was mended!

My dad gave up driving about 5 years ago when he was 80 years old and his Polo needed some work doing but he had it from new and it was over 20 years old. He never bothered replacing the VW badge which was stolen off the front years before when the Beastie Boys (?) made the badge a fashion accessory.
