Resize a page for printing in Word 2003.
10 Answers
I have got two A4 sized posters done out in Word 2003 using text and some wordart. How can I resize these so that I can fit them both onto an A4 sheet, ie make them A5?
When I try it, it is not working correctly and the text and wordart images are getting skewed around the page. Is it possible to do what I want with a few clicks or do I need to start from scratch?
By the way my ultimate goal would be to have both posters printing out double sided onto an A4 so that I will be able to cut them into double sided A5 sheets. But I feel if I can get them resized correctly I could work the rest out myself.

Using publisher the page setup and print options give you easy options for fitting two A5s side by side for printing.
bear in mind that simply shrinking an A4 document onto A5 size gives poor results.
First go to file > page setup ... then choose the 'paper size' option to get A5.
You'll find your design has 'jumped around' a bit.
You will need to alter the margins and slightly alter the font sizes, depending on what's on the page, to get it to sit nicely back on one sheet.
In word the best way to get the result you're after is to print 2 A5s and manually place them side by side on a photocopier or scanner.
Or get a packet of A5 printer paper from Staples!

you should copy page 1, in its entirety onto page 2 ... just select all and copy and paste - then in print settings, set it to print 2 pages to a sheet - it will then just scale to fit the 2 pages onto one sheet of paper ... then just set to print as many as you want - i cannot give exact instructions as i am on word 2010... but i used to have 2003... so just go through printer options
i would suggest using the help facility at the top and ask it... it should direct you
we use it to print scripts from standard a4, into a5 format to fit in crew pockets
