I've got four tiger bread rolls that should have been eaten yesterday and they've gone hard. How can I soften them up for tea but still retain the crusty crust?

Tea served at 8.00pm approx.

Put them in the oven.
a quick blast in the micro to soften then place in a hot oven for a minute
Nooo-not the microwave---it'll make them worse.
Sprinkle a bit of water on them-then pop in the oven for 5 minutes or so.
