Electro acoustic guitar

Can anyone help, i am looking to buy a new guitar for around £200-250
and am not sure which one to choose, be it fender or adam black or any other make come to that, any ideas folks.

Funny you should ask, my colleague has just shown us his guitar and it is a sleek black Gretsch. He reckons this is the best!!!!
