I Have one of these machines & it appears that all the functions work O.K.,but as I don't have an Owner's Manual I can't string them together. The usual search channels don't seem to lead nowhere. Can anyone help?

If you can securely get your email address to me, not sure how, I can pdf a copy of the manual to you tomorrow at work.

Sorry mine is a DVD/CD Player & Video Cassette Recorder so will NOT record to DVD. The offer is still there or go with Murraymints suggestion.
If you have the model no. try googling it. I did this for a dvd recorder I

bought secondhand. I use this to transfer from set top box to dvd.

I have the same as you MASS1961, it now only plays.

Thanks Murraymints.
My explanation is a bit long-winded.My daughter is a midwife & featured in 'One Born.....'.I put all the relevant episodes on to V+,but I want to transfer them to a single DVD.That's the reason for buying the machine.I can put one clip on to the DVD succesfully, but when I try to do the same with further episodes, they over-record the previous one.
So it's merely a 'sequence of operation' problem.

Have you formatted the disc for the appropriate time length..?...how about putting them on to VHS first and then to disc...
once the disc is formatted for ,after the transfer to disc it should then write to disc and leave the remainder free to further record on..but DO NOT finalise disc until all episodes are on !
for duration that should say
Question Author
Thanks again Murraymints,
Unfortunately I grew up inthe era when we precised 'Great Expectations' by hand.
I half understand the term'formatted' but how to apply it to a DVD is beyond me unless I see written instructions.
I think I'll give the ASDA helpline a try - not with any great hope,
Les
1 tune recorder to your v+ by selecting the appropriate av...you must know how to do that as you have done one recording.

2 select a recording speed by using button on remote has recspeed above it...work out how long you need and by pushing this button it will offer you various speeds each press offers longer time...push enter when you have required length.

3 press record on the unit..either dvd or vhs whichever you are recording onto

4 press play on the V+ unit

5 when finished press stop button on machine.

6 wait for machine to write to disc

7 repeat as above for all your episodes

8 finalise disc so it can be played on any machine. nb..once finalised nothing else will go to disc..

do you know how to finalise ???
you still out there les ??

O.K. Murraymints,
I'll give that try tomorrow.
I'll let you know what happens,

Question Author
Murraymints,
Well,I've had a practise run at recording a series of clips from separate episodes from V+ onto a DVD & it seems to be successful. My technique needs a bit of polishing but that can be fixed.
Don't know how to finalize but that can wait.
A copy of the Owner's Manual would still be very welcome, because ,at the moment, getting the required format/image on to the sreen is still a case of trial & error.
to finalise..go into set up using remote comtrol.. to the right towards the top bit on the hand remote... scroll down to disc and enter scroll to finalise and enter. and wait....your disc will then play on any machine but you will not be able to put any more on it !!! give me a shout if you need any more help !!

You've been a great find!
My wife can now be in her element watching our daughter in 'One Born.....' - it would be on 24 hours a day if she had her way!
I'm indebted,
Les
my pleasure Les..glad I could help..shout if you need any more "words of wisdom" ha ha...
