Hi All

I have a Kindle and want to create a collection for books I want to keep.

I have managed to create the collection and transfer books to it but I have a question if anyone can help.

The books now appear both in the collection and the Kindle menu, is this correct? Having read the help pages I thought it would only be the collection.

Does anyone know the answer please?

Thanks in advance.

It should just be in the collection I would contact kindle. But you can delete them off your kindle as they are stored on your kindle account with amazon and you can redownload them at any time
I asked this question a while back, Chickadee; this is what Rojash told me:
On the home page, move up to the top, where it says 'Showing x items'; move right and select Collections.
I think it should only be in the collection, it is on mine.
A collection is not a container. Although you can put a book "in" a collection, the collection is really just a list of books. This is why you can put a book in more than one collection (the book is not affected, it is just added to the appropriate list). Consequently if you choose to view by anything other than "Collections", you will see all the books on your Kindle, regardless of the collections that they belong to
