What would you do....

Young male cat... 18 months old...
2 weeks ago he had his annual jabs and a check up.
Also had him wormed
All fine.
He seems to be totally fine in himself... runs around. sleeps. happy. chirpy. But not as interested in his food as he used to be!
He looks a little thinner than his bro... and I am sure he was bigger... he could have had a growth spurt and therefore looks skinnier... Hard to tell really.
He trots around perfectly happy... grooms himself.. purrs... all the usual.. Just seems to have lost interest in his food.
He does eat.. but only small amounts.
Now I am a bit notorious for panicking with my wee boys.... so how long do I leave it before taking him to the vets? He got stung a week ago by something in the face... it all swelled up.. and I was straight on the phone to the emergncy vet and all ready to rush him there... when I should have just waited to see how he was! (he did a runner and next day was fine!!!)

He likes his biscuits fresh from the packet must not have been in the bowl too long. Won't eat tinned food. Turns his nose up t chicken breast and steak. Some cats are just fussy and not big eaters. If he is lively his coat is nice and glossy then I wouldn't worry.
Thanks both! He wasn't interested in dinner tonight! (mackerel, tuna, chicken!!!!! For Funks Sake) but all the food from this morning had gone so hope he got some too! His coat is beautiful and his nose cold and wet! De wormed at vets when he had his jabs!
Good point too about leaner in summer and fatter in winter! He lives outdoors in good weather!!!
Will keep an eye and offering him treats!!

I have two cats (warring siblings), Merlin is the same annoying and vicious cat all the time. Frankie takes turns of being quiet and not taking a lot of notice in his food - other times he is like a starving pig and he eats so fast that he is sick.
I panic when they are ill - almost feel sorry for the poor vet - but as long as there is food/water going in one end and out the other I 'try' to just accept it.
They are hard work - it is like living with a bossy toddler.
