For some time I have been looking for a short story that I read in some sort of compilation of short stories in the late 1970s. A family is on vacation at the beach when the tide not only goes out... but continues to go further and further. As the people drive out on the ocean bed he catches bits on the radio about flooding in Europe.... as the tide begins to return in a hurry he begins to drive hurriedly back, only to realize they will not make it... his last thoughts being something along the line "At least we'll all die together.". Thank in advance for any help. ~Jim
