No, it's dishonest, and for those that pay the full whack, it's cheating.
Tax avoidance is legal - tax evasion is criminal.

Tax avoidance is organising your affairs so as to pay less tax.

Even HMRC did a sale and leaseback to save tax!

The best brains will always go where the money is, so the tax avoidance people are always one step ahead of the HMRC civil servants!

If I could legally avoid paying income tax then yes i would.
I could do exactly what Jimmy Carr does but I don't, and loathe though I am to give my hard earned cash to the Govt, I do, because you can't expect to live in a decent society if you don't contribute to it ( although I'm frequently aghast at the way it's spent).
In a word --YES
looks like Mr Carr is getting something of a whacking in the news, for those who say they would do the same must realise that if everyone did this then what would the country have to spend on the NHS amongst many other things. It isn't fair on all who do pay, whether they like it or not via PAYE.
