my wallpaper is too far to one side

Help. My wallpaper and icons are too far to one side that I am missing some icons and also the START tab which means I can't restore system to an earlier time.

Most monitors have an autoadjust button.
Click it and it should centre automatically.
If not your monitor probably has buttons to move the image up/down, left/right

Right click on an empty area of your Desktop and choose Personalise. Then try adjusting Screen Saver or Wallpaper settings.

Or like mine you get buttons under the screen and have to work out how to use them to change the monitor settings menu and options and adjust, by trial & error.

Sounds like you may have Windows set at the wrong screen resolution for your monitor.

Your monitor may work best at 1920x1080 or whatever, but you have it set at some other resolution.

Find out what resolution you SHOULD be at and change Windows to that.

I don't think any of you actually read the question.
There is a blank down one side, and the start button is off the other side.
In other words the image is shifted to the left. The screen saver is completely irrelevant. The problem is not only with the wall paper. If the resolution was incorrect there would be blanks down both sides or bits missing from both sides.
Either the monitor is adjusted incorrectly, or there is a problem with the phasing or refresh rate.

I used to get this now and again and found a reboot solved it.
Still don't know the cause of it, though.

If the picture is shifted to the left the usual solution is to use the monitor buttons/knobs to centralise it.
