Looking for bottled Beer that's not too gassy

A plea to all Beer experts. Can anyone recommend any bottled Beers that are not incredibly gassy. My better half loves the odd Beer but has to pour the beer from one glass to another to try and get rid of some of the gas. Are any Beers simply brewed and bottled with less gas.

Your answer might very much depend upon what type of beer he likes!

Most bottled IPAs aren't particularly gassy (with milds and porters also being similar) but, if he likes lager, Cobra (which is available in all of the big supermarkets) was specifically created to be low on gas.

From the Cobra website:

Just make sure you get Cobra that`s not imported from India. It`s full of glycerine and will give you an headache like you wouldn`t believe.

Yes of course I should have mentioned the Beers he likes. He likes the Bath Ales range - Gem, Wild Hare, Golden Hare etc. He also likes Doombar and the usual Speckled Hen, Badger Beers, hopefully you get the idea. I'll certainly get some Cobra for him to try. He's not really a lager drinker, but might be tempted if as you say it's less gassy. Thank you for taking the time to respond - a good start.

Non-draught Guinness isn't fizzy andit's beautiful. But not everyone likes stout!
Worth a go though!

Thanks for your help so far everyone. I don't think he likes Stout to tell you the truth. He likes dry light beers, but nothing too heavy. Awful that you can drink practically anything when you're young, but when middle age hits you, your digestive system suddenly decides not to play nice anymore :-)

Try Tsing Tao, very nice with Chinese food and made less gassy for that reason.
I'm not a lager drinker but I do like this.

These are not dark beers but you could try either Singha or Amarit.

My recommendations: Ringwood Old Thumper and Hobgoblin - not terribly gassy after being decanted into a pint glass especially if left for 10 min.

Pour it in a glass then add a pinch of sugar that will de-gas it...
