Leaflet droppping
6 Answers
My son is desperate for work and has an interview next week for a leaflet dropping job, full time . He hasnt worked for over a year and is overweight with high blood pressure and a history of mini strokes. He also has no good shoes after being on js allowance for all this time. I think he should ask his doctor before taking this sort of work on does anyone here have any experience of this and how hard it would be for him to do.

Asking the doctor is a good idea and he will need a decent pair of walking trainers/shoes.

walking will help him lose weight and keep him fit
losing weight will reduce his BP
Can you not offer to buy a decent pair of walking trainers for him?
If he is lucky to get the job I personally think this could be the making of him
I'm pretty sure his GP will have told him to lose weight and take gentle exercise
I don;t see an issue with him taking this job, even temporarily

Thank you all for your answers. I did think the walking was good and he already walks every day but was just worried that all day every day might be too much. Of course I will buy him good trainers if he get the job and think he should check with the doctor first but when he was first made redundant he had a morning paper round and he loved that. Does anyone know if these sorts of jobs are reliable. Thanks
