fan on 97mondeo not working
my fan is not coming on when it should and also it loses power at 2500-3000revs,maybe its all to do with same thing,any suggestions

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Agree with previous post, fan sensor usually on radioator that controls when fan comes on etc.. check wiring to that, short out wires, fan should come on, if only one wire, short it out to earth (chassis), fan should come on.
2.5 - 3.5k suggests a very specific power band maybe an exhaust leak or air filter problem?

Should be on the front of the radiator.
Also if no heating inside car, sounds like maybe your thermostat is gummed up or knackered, follow large bore pipe from top of radiator to the engine block where it connects, this should be a removable (with bolts) cover, thermostat in there.
Careful with hot engines / boiling fluids etc.. and if you do dismantle make sure you fill up properly afterwards !!
