Support ticketing software?
4 Answers
Hi guys,
I am the support technician at a small school. Currently I prioritise jobs that need to be done (general hardware/software support) in a small book in my pidgeon hole. This is annoying and sometimes not effective.
I was wondering if there is any free software out there, really simple app, that users could access from the server easily (shortcut on desktop), and post a ticket to me that will flash up on my monitor and get put into a list similar to email.
I want to avoid email wherever I can.
Any advice would be cool! :)

I've not used it, but I do use openaudit by the same people and that's very good, you do need something running a PHP enabled webserver and mySQL to set it up though, I use xammp for windows if it has to go on a windows machine.
If not, then spiceworks is probably one of the easier to setup as it's a straight forward just click next a few times install.

Otherwise spiceworks
