My ongoing issues with son's secondary school - an update.

You know I was advised to put in writing any complaints.? Well after a pupil put his fist through the science lab window last thursday I sent an email(with read receipt) to Head,deputy head, year head and education department at council, listing as many incidents as I could remember. Got a reply from Education Dept yesterday saying they were getting relevant team to look into it.

Just got a txt from school(sent to all parents) saying they have just been informed of an unexpected Ofsted inspection TOMORROW for 2 days, and apologies for the short notice but they hadn't been expecting one.

Coincidence??

Hello my lovely, how are you??

Well whether its down to me or not, at least somebody is looking into things so I am quite pleased. Hopefully the kids will all be little sh1ts tomorrow lol (apart from mine!)

Could be a coincidence- OFSTED inspections are (rightly) carried out at very short notice.
As a teacher though I know that it is very difficult for schools to prevent poor behaviour of the sort you have described as much of it stems from their home life

Well its better than nothing so will see what happens. they are sending home questionnaires that have to be filled in by tomorrow eve and taken in on the Thursday so mine will be an eye opener.

BTW he just had his report and it was good so all is not lost, even though they have had no homework for 5 weeks!
