Does anyone know, if you have a region 2 dvd can you play region 0 dvds on it? or do you have to have it chipped or something?

However there are Reg1 dvd's from the states and other regions from the far east etc that you player will not play, usually there is a hack though, just find your player here and obey the instructions:

If you've got a DVD drive on a computer, it should play any region DVD - you'll need some extra software to play DVDs though.
The smoothest running one I've found is VLC Media Player - you can download this free here.
