Where can I find an autoroute mileage calculator online for free?

As most of you know I am seriously thinking of becoming a same day courier and am very near completion of this role. I need to be able to calculate distances by road from A to B but do not want to go to the expense of buying Autoroute on disc if I do not have to.

Is there any way of working out the distance involved by road using the Internet if I know the 2 postcodes in question?

Google maps > Get Directions. Key in two postcodes and it will show the miles and estimated time.

if you get a route planner it tells you the distance to roundabouts , turnings etc, all you have to do is total it.

Yep Google maps is good gives you the distance in miles, cost of fuel (average) and time it will take ... but dont trust its directions for the actually journey! most of the time it is good but so many times it has missed out the odd vital turn or roundabout :) the AA also do a route planner which is good and gives you miles and time but I dont think it does fuel cost

I'm sorry to say this but I'm a tad concerned that an individual about to embark on a career as a courier doesn't know about Multimap, AA Autoroute et al.

Before you invest any money in your venture please thoroughly investigate all aspects, for instance have you considered your liability and what insurance coverage you should have to cover your deliveries? Will you state a limit of liability?

There is much to think about and just as much to lose, be careful.
