Agreed it was very easy.

I'm told that several ABers contacted the crossword editor complaining about the puzzles set by Paul McKenna which they felt contained too many obscure clues.

Maybe today's puzzle is the result.

I haven't done the crossword yet, but it is a bit of a shame if the crossword has been made too easy. I look forward to the challenge and the opportunity to improve my vocabulary!

Agree - doable without too much hassle. But was that just because I happened to know 1a& 1d? Was amused that 5d anagrams to "CD trousers"... also diplomatic dress...
