They should announce a hose pipe ban in those African countries that are suffering from a drought , seems to have worked here !

Still there Lady-J...we are taking a farmhouse at at Rinsey, Sort of on the coast it's called Welloe Rock..the farmhouse that is...going on th 14th so time to brighten up yet.....grand kids coming from Switzerland so they need a beach..no seaside in Switzerland...

Hate to dampen ( ! ) everybodies spirits but I have just been on the Met Office website and the long range weather forecast for the rest of July is pretty miserable....much the same as now.

We seem to get these summers every few years. I seem to remember 1998 was the same...never-ending rain. Its something to do with the jet stream being too far south apparently.

At least it just isn't Wales this time.

You know the Welsh National Costume ? Red flannel shawl, and big witches hat ? Well its made of Gore-Tex !

I hope it changes before August. Britain is going to be watched by the whole world for the Olympics. A TV audience of billions is being expected. At this rate there will be syncronised swimming over the hurdles, underwater discus, 100 meters splash, etc, etc !

I'm not sure what the opposite of a rain dance is but if we only work it out, I'm sure it would help !

Mikey...surely the one thing the met office is world renowned for is getting the weather forcast wrong...they can't get today's weather right..ne'er mind long range....I hope..Heh heh!
