I was just taking in the excellent news about Jordi Alba's move to Barca as replacement for Eric Abidal and got to wondering. Has anyone heard news of how he(Abidal) is getting on, and also Stan Petrov?
Two top class players of the sort the game needs.
I have searched but not come up with anything.

Obviously I too hope that Abidal and Petrov do well.
I am very pleased about JA's move also. From watching his performance in the Uefa 2012 final he will fit in at Barca very well.
Can't be much fun at Valencia as new coach when one of your best players leaves. £11M seems a very good deal - for Barca.

Things haven't been that good at Valencia for a while now. The usual money troubles I'm afraid, they had to sell some really good players in recent years, Silva, Villa, Mata etc - but things are improving for them on the money side now. But for some reason the club did not like the manager Unai Emery despite the team's relative success. He is a good manager but ultimately wasn't wanted at the club. I heard he was offered a job in Russia...... Alba is a good fit for Barca I must say - just wish he was a little taller!
