I read a story about a guy at his gfs for dinner to meet the parents...

Dad asked the guy to go get a bottle of white wine, but he decided to open a red cos he knew his gf liked red better....

The mum went pale and asked which wine he had selected....turns out it was a vintage bottle theyd invested in on holiday, which cost more than their holiday LOL whoopsie!!!

Anyhow, got me thinking, aside from ISAs etc, what is good to invest in? Antiques? Wine? ....

Wonder if when im making a wage i can buy an antique or similar to invest in?

Xx

good to invest in? land.
You won't know if you've made a good investment or not until you've had it for 40 or 50 years, and it'll be a bit too late to go back to the shop and change it. Investing in wine, antique silver, or whatever is a chancy business.
Gold is doing well at the moment. Not the time to buy though.

Clarice Cliffe ceramics. if you can find any.

Id love to have the money to buy property & decorate & sell...( i watch too much homes under the hammer)

Lol...i like the idea of buying some nice item and maby one dy making a profit....but i guess you never know x
you really don't. Even the guys who do it for a living say if you are going to invest, buy something you love because there is no guarantee of a profit.
Like woof gang says, invest in land. It is the one thing that will always be needed and will always go up in price over the years.
