Allowed my sweet tooth to get the better of me & stuffed a Cadburys Chocolate Eclair in my mouth - well it looked lonely in the bowl on the conference room table.

I didn't remember them having crunchy bits in ... but that turned out to be the filling that it had just removed :+(

No pain - just a very sharp edge now busy destroying my tongue.

Dentist - Monday Morning .... wonderful :((

I have found that pork scratchings are also very good tooth busters.

^^ bust answer ^^^
Mr O's toenails look like pork scratchings :-(
Definitel no toe-sucking then?
Don't do the temp filling thing. It meant a LOT more drilling for me when I used it. :(
Peanut brittle's good for breaking your teeth on. (Trying to get away from Mr.O's toenails, ugh!)
Sibton, I'd rather perform bowel surgery on myself with a stick than go near Mr O's feet
Why can we not just tell our tongues to lie still, and stop exploring sharp edges on teeth?
If you've got a metal nail file gently file the jagged tooth , it worked for me till I got to the dentist.

jem
Oh jem you've set my teeth on edge.

I lost a filling while on a coach going to our holiday resort. Someone offered me a soft centred mint which became instantly attracted to my filling I had to take the softmint out of my mouth and pull the filling out of it. I had a jagged rough tooth so I used to put the filling back in until we went for a meal for a whole week while we were on holiday. On the plane back home I swallowed it.
Jem, I done the same with the file.

My Dentist specifically warned me about chocolate eclairs only last week.

Well my lovely dentist has put me back together again (although he was making potentially expensive "it needs a crown really" noises).

Can't feel half of face, can't speak without dribbling, no solid food for 24hrs ... looks like the wine will get a seeing to later ...
Jelly babies in future,Dave.
