For my bday (a month ago) my hub booked us a tea at the ritz followed by theatre. As we live a way outside London I decided to book us a hotel. As we are on a budget a booked a really cheap hotel near Victoria. To cut a v long story short when we booked in tonight my hub hated it and spent all night being so horrid and sarcastic (my choice of hotel apparently ruined the weekend) . We had a row and he has left to

Thanks tinkerbell. He just txtd to say he's home (along with other sarcastic stuff) so at least I know he's home safely. I am mentally tired ... Gonna try force myself to go to ritz / theatre today ;(Saturday)... He is NOT the sort who'll back down about this... I dunno how to act myself.... Standing my ground is new territory ...

Thanks tinkerbell. X
Get glammed up, go and enjoy your tea, get a waiter to take a photo of you looking really happy and post it on your FB page.
I can't believe someone would do this.

I hope you blow the budget.
How utterly selfish! What a plonker!
It's beyond selfish.

I don't think I could do anything bad enough for my OH to abandon me. A crap hotel??? That's something you laugh off and put down to experience.
Sounds like he just used that as an excuse to get away from you, bet he didn't spend the night alone.

Don't let him get away with this
He may be a good man evedawn and you love him but he is a control freak - stand firm - enjoy your tea at the Ritz - he is the loser.
I totally agree, Ummmm.
I booked a table for Valentine's Day for me and the wife.
It was bound to end in tears though - she's crap at snooker.

Thanks everyone. I'm soooo tired (not alot of sleep) . He is a good man... He just can't handle when things don't go his way. It's the first time of refused to give in to his tantrum .... And I think I will hear the repercussions for a long l

Ooops ... Long long time

Moonraker that's made me laugh!
Evedawn - go to your day even though you may not enjoy it as much as you thought you would - but don't waste further money by not going. Then when you get home, say "your loss, I really enjoyed it, thank you for buying that for my birthday" - you just might be able to resell the theatre ticket at the box office if you ask them early enough.

Then don't mention it any more. He wasn't there, he doesn't have to know anything else about it. He sounds very insecure.
By insecure I assume you mean a pudding?
