Malwarebytes - tried tested and used by many.

Malwarebytes is good for me. It doesn't run all the time, you do a scan once a week or so.

I agree,MalwareBytes works perfectly and the 'paid for', it's only a few quid for lifetime version & even offers continious protection and up-dates itself every hour.
You'll not regret it.
