The prosecution did not have to prove it's case 100 times, therefore saving time and money for all concerned. If you ask for the other 95 to be taken into consideration before sentencing, the increase in sentence may be marginal (and with parole, even more so) and you can never be convicted of those offences in the future, so the slate is clean.
