guess where the Asda call centre is ?

my son rang from abroad yesterday and wanted me to buy something at Asda and take it to a pal who is travelling there on Wed- he always pulls these last minute quests on me ! cant get the item in time so rang Asda "contact us" and said I was willing to collect from any store within a 25 mile radius of London, they were very hard to understand at the other end of the line and she suggested Manchester ! then the penny dropped -where are you exactly because your knowledge of UK isnt good - SOUTH AFRICA she replied ! I gave up.

Nothing to do with where the call centre is they should be fully aware of the location of the stores and have a means of identifying the nearest one to your chosen location. That is just incompetance / lack of training by Asda .

I'd put in a complaint to ASDA - most call centre staff should be on the button, no matter where they are based.

same for many businesses, i find it odd that when you call they have no idea what you are talking about, if you are asking for directions, or nearest shop etc.

I agree they havent a clue I broke down with the car [ ran out of petrol actually] call centre in India told me stand by the river ! what blo*dy river ? the river I keep telling you - there is no river - eventually I twigged she meant River Road!!!!! breakdown man said it happened all the time.
