Just seen your question regarding phone in bathroom. We have a plug socket on the landing just outside bathroom, plug phone transformer thing in, run cable under carpet and into bathroom, using cable clips along wall to where you want the phone to go. I wanted OH to put a plug socket (as an extension) in the bathroom, but he wouldn't, saying it was illegal.

thanks caran for the reply, bit too complicated for us, will take our mobiles in there ! well I wont but you- know- who does ! plus one of the cordless lounge phones in his top pocket.

He's right, caranrog, there should be no sockets in the bathroom apart from specifically-designed shaver sockets.
