Now the Government is proposing Care home costs to be funded by State Loans. Individuals will still have to sell their home and pay interest so what exactly is th epoint?

Just when will they get it in their thick heads that the reason saving has dropped dramatically and few, bar civil servants receiveing gold plated ones, have a pension.

I mean, why bother, live life to the full now and enjoy the megre amount you are allowed to keep after tax, dont save it so the ba**ds can take it off you to fund teriists wanting to kill you, Billions on the EU white elephant, Wars we should not be involved in, workshy layabouts, the WHS (was the NHS) etc etc etc.

I thought the Tories were in, I must have been mistaken, more like a commie dictatorship.

No reason one should not have expected life expectation to rise with better medical care, nutrition, and scientific advances. Besides, get it right and you might get healthy old folk who have little need of care. Just a decent pension.

I'm well aware of that, but it is an issue of trust, among many other things. As I've already said, how do we know that financial expediancy won't see vulnerable old peopple suffer this fate at the hands of some faceless beaurocrat to save a few pennies in order to pay bonus money to, well, the faceless beaurocrat.

I also abhor the idea of witholding food as the patient may be aware of what is happening. What have we come to when we could even consider something this inhumane? We wouldn't treat animals this way!

I would rather pass away drugged to my tits than starving.

Is it the case that care for the elderly in Scotland is free? Also, I believe prescriptions in both Scotland and Wales ar free to all. (Happy to back down as I'm not sure on these points) If so, can we not take our Govt. to the European Courts for racial discrimination against the English?

uni fees free in Scotland, seems wrong when our youngsters or their families are being asked to cough up 9,000 grand.
