I've been excited about the new movie since I first heard about it last year, and got my tickets for it as soon as they went on sale. However, I work in a primary school and seem to be the only person aware that the movie is even coming out soon (let alone going to see it!).

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a low public awareness of the film?

Sales of anything Nania related has rocketed.

It may just be the people around you that haven't heard about it, Disney have high hopes.

Once it opens, you'll find kids talking about it.

I'm looking forward to and hopefully the other books will be turned into films too. Who knows it may even fill the aching hole made by the Return of the King 2 years ago. I had no other films to look forward to

I think it's advertised a fair bit, but is simply being swamped by Harry Potter fever at the mo. I'm really looking forward to it also. That and PJ's King Kong, can't wait to see him work his LOTR magic on that! (and to hear what his next project is!)

tonymclark: You're probably right - the school is in a bit of a poor area! I'm just disappointed that even the teachers are more likely to discuss "X Factor" than Narnia :o(.

dk_psy: Last I heard, PJ was set to adapt "The Lovely Bones" next.

I'm a bit disappointed to hear the The Lovely Bones is maybe being considered getting turned into a film. I was a bit disappointed with the book, it wasn't as good as the hype about it made out.
I have seen a lot in the press about this film and it will no doubt be a winner I am looking forward to seeing it. and I read that the church is hoping it will bring people back to christian values and some church's are giving away tickets, I read one church spent 10,000 on tickets, I will look to see if its on at the local showcase I hardly go to see films but want to see this, and it shows the premier in London at the Albert Hall on 7th dec is high profile with Princess Charles attending.

{Dakota}: At least you made it to the end of TLB - I gave up! I intend to revisit the book to see what the fuss is about, but found it a bit turgid.

pega: I knew that they were marketing the film to churches in the US - a plan that may have backfired somewhat as many forums are flooded with folk reviling the movie because it promotes - the horror! - Christian values. I didn't think that there were many churches with large enough congregations (except when Songs of Praise visits) in the UK, though!
