HIGH CPU USAGE
6 Answers
I seem to be getting a lot of the above messages lately on my pc. I got one when doing a "disc cleanup" And have just got another when reading a paper, although the pc was very quiet (didn't seem to be doing anything). Any idea (A) what could be causing it and (B) what to do about it ?. Thanks, John

Go to Start/ Run. Type "msconfig" (without the "") in the box, click on the Start-up tab at the top and check the programs that are listed to see what they are and if you really needed them running all the time.
However, don't remove any programs if you don't fully know what they are or what the do.
Hope this helps.

either get rid of norton and install a better anti virus (although norton's not as bad as it used to be) or disable the warning, norton is quite well known for giving this warning when it's not required.
