peugeot 106 car engine sputters at low rpms

hi just bought a car and thought the clutch had gone so got a new one installed on my car now the car seems to be still chugging in low gears and revs anyone know what could be causing it?

how do you mean revs.

soz didnt make it clear when pulling away in first gear engine chugs change into second 3rd or 4th it chugs at 2000 or less revs b4 i changed the clutch the revs used to increase in low gears so was advised to change the clutch which i have the revs increasing for no reason has stopped it just chugs in low revs now

dont know m8 just bought it last week think i bought a scrapheap but want to attempt to fix it b4 i phone the scrap man any ideas?
