I know I have not been on for a very long time and hi to everybody.

But my sister and I are have a difference of opinion of a little girl we both know - she is sixteen and just after giving birth to a little baby girl - my sister says she was underaged for sex and that the dad could be done for underaged sex. I am saying 16 is the right age she is saying 18 is right age. I have googled but no answers. Thanks once again guys. what is the legal age for sex. 16 in the uk. If she just had a baby, she may well have been underage when she got pg, but bloke unlikely to be prosecuted if he is same age

I remember one girl at school getting pregnant at 13, the father was 15 so nothing could be done as they were both under-age.

That was interesting bedknobs, but what happens if the girl is under 15, in Ireland, because I know of at least two girls who have had babies at thirteen. I could hardly believe it, they are only children themselves. No prosecution took place - perhaps because they didn't know who the father was?
