Does homophobia cross the sexual divide?
13 Answers
Some are homophobic entirely because of prejudice and bigotry but those who follow the Abramic religions quote the bible in support.
The relevant passage is in Leviticus which says that when a man lieth with a man as with a woman it is an abomination…
But there is nothing about female homosexuals. Nothing which says that when a woman lieth with a woman as with a man it is an abomination…
So is female homosexuality OK then? Are those boarding-house owners who want to be above the law by banning homosexual men from sharing a room happy to allow two lesbians to do so?
If not, why not, to be consistent? If so, why, since the bible doesn’t forbid it?
The wisdom of ABers required here, I think.

I can tell that MrAsk is uncomfortable when in the company of male homosexuals, although he wouldn't say anything, but with lesbians he has no problem. It doesn't bother me either way. Considering that men have the wherewithal to make love as the dominant sex, normally to procreate, it is looked upon as unmanly. Women have a less forceful role imo, and unless one wears the bib and braces when booking in at an hotel who is to know that the are just friends.
