Hi there, i will be travelling to the middle east next year and will be learning the native language but my problem is learning the "Accchhh" which is an integral part of the language. The words are okay but want to get the pronunciation down to a t.
Can you direct me to a website or youtube video that can help?

(If you don't know what i mean listen to the above youtube video as that explains exactly what i want to learn)
Tia.

I'll have to reply to any answers later as i'm off out :)
Sounds a bit like the Scottish "ch" sound (Loch, ach, Murdoch etc)
If you mean a type of uvular fricative then it's a sound achieved by placing the back of the tongue on the rear of the palate (as far back as you can get it) and then trying to pronounce the "ch" as in loch. You should hear a sound coming from deep in the pharynx. I can't speak Arabic to save my life, but I can do a passable and reasonably authentic sound by doing this :-)
Try this, at 1 minute 30 seconds

imagine you have something soft stuck in your throat.
