What is the difference between antibiotics and antimicrobals? I thought microbes and bacteria were the same thing

Antimicrobia ls work, not just against bacteria, as antibiotics do, but also against viruses, fungal infections, protozoan infections (malaria for example).
Antibiotics are a type of antimicrobia l, but not all antimicrobia ls are antibiotics.
