Did anyone else notice that towards the end, the chap who says the uni and the persons name, seemed to be getting more hysterical as it reached the last few minutes? His voice got louder and higher - very strange!

I do hope the enthusiasm of the voice-over man in the final moments of a good competition doesn’t rub off on the audience. Can’t stand those programmes where everyone is shouting and screaming. Long may the dignity of University Challenge remain.

I did notice last night - not noticed it before.

I know I am showing my age, but when they say at the beginning "Asking the questions ..." I still expect them to say ... "Bamber Gascoigne!"

Anyone recall the chap whose surname was Tottie [sic] playing for Imperial College. The memory of the announcer screaming "IMPERIAL TOTTIE!!!" towards the end virtually turned it into an episode of Men Behaving Badly...
