slimming world....online or group meeting?
8 Answers
Afternoon,
The time has come, I have decided, to get some proper help with losing weight! [well when I get back off of my holiday anyway]
Any opinions as to whether the online membership can work as well as the group meetings?
I think I have the will power to do the weigh ins of my own back, and have to admit the thought of sitting in a room full of others freaks me out a bit though I'm sure I could manage it.
Any advice?

I'm only going to a couple more meetings as my working hours are changing, but I'm intending to carry on online. Personally I think it is easier in a group, so I'm a bit unsure of how it will be.
Let us know what you decide to do. Oh and by the way, both my friend and I have managed to shift several pounds since we joined, so I do think it worth joining. x

Oh dear, I have slipped again. I blame Rowanwitch though. She talked about baking this morning and put me in the mood. I have just polished off two home-made almond slices. Must try to keep away from them for the rest of the evening and give them to my friend in the morning.
She loves me to bake as she knows she will get the most of it as she doesn't bake at all.
Maybe if I am good the rest of the night I willbe able to stay off the naughty step tomorrow. I did take an extra walk this afternoon.

Whatever suits you best. I joined a group the last time I tried to lose weight and it worked very well. This time I've tried it by myself aside from contributing to http:// www.the answerb .../Que stion11 47415.h tml and whilst progress has been slower, it's coming along. Can't comment of a commercial Internet membership though. I think there is some value in turning up to an actual meeting though, sort of makes you feel committed and on the right track.
My daughter and I have joined a Weight Watchers group and are both doing well. We have been going for four weeks and have both lost six pounds. I think you need the support of the group and also the thought that you must stick to the diet or you will let yourself down. Weigh-in day tomorrow and I hope to have lost at least another pound. I tried an on-line diet and did lose weight which I put back on again as soon as I stopped. Once you go divegirl you will soon find people like yourself, shy and alone, but willing to help.
