Putting curtains back up.

Because the sun is shining and because I've got visitors again this weekend, I have just been and taken down the lined, weighted curtains in the guest room and put them in the washing machine to freshen them up.

The problem is it was really difficult to do with all that stretching and holding and so on. I have a really bad neck and I've hurt myself now.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get them back up without having to stretch and, consequently, hurt myself again? I have step ladders but actually just stood on a chair when taking them down?

Right, my curtains are on the line. They won't take long to dry. I still need help with putting them up.
Id definately try the stepladders tilly xx
I would suggest using a taller set of steps so you don't need to stretch, it's also less risk of falling.

I know it was a stupid question and that the stepladders would be the best thing. Now. I need to get the step ladders up the stairs.
I was hoping someone would offer to come round and help me.
You need to fit your curtain rail to a pulley system. That way you can lower the rail, slide the curtain hooks on, then just haul it back up again. Voila.

Thank you Old geezer. I didn't realise such things were available. I'll look into that.
