My husband, who doesnt believe in ghosts or here after at all. Has told me he turned over in bed the other night and saw a woman standing over me in bed. He didnt know who she was but said it didnt worry him to see her, and then he looked away and she was gone. I have been thinking about this and just wondering if anyone else has had something like this happen. It doesnt worry me at all infact I am really interested.

And when their fur starts to stand on end, that's when I start to panic
the fact that he didnt seem worried by this "apparition" is a clue that he is likely to be in a dream state, we are more accepting of the bizarre and scary when we are dreaming. its highly likely this could be some sort of dream paralysis rather than something more sinister.

I had two dogs (one after another) and lived alone with them. They were very protective and if they barked there was something that the perceived as a threat.

Then I go a cat, an old ex-stray cat, a grumpy old man. During the first few nights of our 'relationship' he was in the hall and I on the PC. I heard a blood-curdling yell and howling coming from him and assumed that something was wrong, maybe a burglar. I went to investigate and as I went into the hall he walked past me all calm and innocent.

I realised then that they just do 'stuff' to freak us out.
I would say some form of dream like state as well. I often have dreams that I think are true in the mornings.
i have a re-occuring nightmare that comes true every morning
Lol...
had he been drinking alcohol prior to going to bed ?
i've had similar - there was a faint green glow too, but i am putting that down to a night light in the hallway - strangely stories about this stuff freak me out and i technically don't believe but I wasn't frightened at all by this event and didn't recognise the figure at all (i would struggle to say whether it was male or female but male feels more right).

Ok thankyou all. If you knew my husband then you would know he just doesnt believe in these things at all. But this seems to be bothering him. He mentioned it again today but said he hadnt seen it again. It was an older women with shoulder length curly hair he said. I do not know anyone like that, but as I have said so unusual for him. I have" waking dreams" but nothing like this mine are always so scary.
I believe 'ghosts' exist. Having said that, if this happened in the night and in the dark, the probability is that he either dreamt it or imagined it.
I think he's preparing the way. Next time you see a strange woman in your bedroom lilacben your husband will say, "Oh. So you've seen her as well have you?"
