im having steak pie bought from the local bakery with baked potato, veg and gravy and homemade fruit salad for afters
well done you, ric ror , enjoy the Pimms...would have thought with a diet Pimms, the points count was minimal.

Lasagne here, salad, overlooking the Fal, my sister cooking it after a traumatic day re my Alzheimer's mother. My middle sis is in town with her tribe so there was me, my 16 year old nephew, niece, the two sisters and their partners all assembed to get all the rusting and clapped out fridges etc out of her house - yes, 6 fridges and freezers, one dishwasher, one cooker, two spin dryers, two fly-mos......and yes we had a permit to the dump........

The mater was fine until the trailer went and then the emotional elastic went (she has been a a compulsive hoarder all her life) I chickened out to play peace-keeper later but the two girls took her on.....she's ok now and it's as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. She's also agreed to the dinner as three hours ago that was a big, No No......

The mess though bad and not acceptable, wasn't too bad - not in comparison to my descriptor of one of the freezers last week which would put any of you straight off your dinner/tea/supper,
Hope you enjoy your meal DT after such a stressful day. I'm on hol in Scotland just now and STILL coming on Answerbank!! We're just heading off for a meal at a lovely country pub and my OH is confiscating my laptop !!

I fancy a steak tonight ....
DT, I really can sympathise. My sisters and I went through something very similar. We eventually developed a real gallows humour about the whole situation.

Enjoy your lasagne. And might I suggest a bottle of merlot or three to help it go down.
DT what a worrying time for you. I hope yo checked all machines especially spin dryers for saving (I speak from experience)

Apologies Ric.ror, off to a restaurant tonight.
I'm having lamb chops, minted new potatoes, crispy salad, and a berry cheesecake...................followed by a vat of Pimms Turbo.
I'm probably too late but an Asian chicken noodle salad is pretty low in calories.

Poach a chicken breast with lemon grass, chopped chilli, fresh ginger and some coriander stalks.

Soak some rice vermicelli noodles in hot water until soft, drain, refesh under cold water and put in a bowl with a daash of sesame oil and toss.

Shred some vegetables, carrots, peppers, cabbage, cucumber, mange tout, french or runner beans - basically anything colourful and crunchy. If you have some bean sprout add a handful of those too.

For the dressing the juice of a lime, a tbs of soft brown sugar, a tbs of soy sauce and a chopped red chilli.

Mix veg with the noodles add shredded chicken pour over dressing and top with some fresh coriander.
Eccles, that sounds gorgeous.

We are having mackerel.....again.
Mr O takes youngest Junior O fishing and we have a freezer full of the damn things

Yippee it's subway
Nothing for me for now....everything sounds loveely!

My low cal skanky dinner last night was cold meat beans and potatoes with some brown sauce! Mm xx
Mrs O, if we weren't so far apart I'd do you a trade for all the trout I've got in my freezer!

The salad is pretty lush, and really good for those on a diet.
