Office Temperature
4 Answers
Is there a maximum and minimum temperature that an office should be at legally?
If not; would it be a different situation for a pregnant employee?
If my GP or consultant wrote to my employer telling them the office conditions are too hot and are a risk to my pregnancy would they have to take action?
Thank you

I felt very uncomfortable in my office when I was pregnant but only got a lot of unpleasantness from the Services Dept. They kept telling me the system was working well and that was that as far as they were concerned. The fact that I was sweating and suffocating did not concern them in the slightest. If your GP/consultant wrote to your employer they would have to look into making the environment better for you but if it turned out it was impossible or too expensive, they could argue it would not be unreasonable for them to dismiss you. Sorry it is not very good news. Good luck with your pregnancy.
