lol My mother once got into the wrong car. My uncle (her brother) had given her a lift to the shops. She did what she had to do, got into identical car parked behind my uncle's. He couldn't drive for half an hour due to the tears.
I've gone to the wrong place of work shortly after changing jobs, I just went onto auto pilot on the way to work and it was only when I was walking across the car park towards the building it suddenly dawned on my "I don't work here any more"
I did once try to rid off on a motorbike that still had a socking great chain securing the rear wheel to a bollard ... very amusing (at least for the onlookers who had failed to alert me to the fact)
Many years ago when I worked shifts in the Mater hospital I woke up with a hangover and noticed that it was twenty past eight. In a state of panic I jumped into the shower, speed-washed, then dressed and ran for the bus. Ten minutes later the bus dropped me outside the aforementioned hopspital and I ran in at about two minutes to nine, and thankfully on time.
Very much on time. Such was my befuddled hungover state I had forgotten I was on a two to ten shift that day.
