Soundtrack - Crush

I watched Crush (with Andy Mac Dowell) and was blown away by the lyrics to a song which played about 2/3 of the way through. The words included "you are my angel". Can anybody help with the name and/or singer and lyrics? Thanks

For some reason EMI have made this a difficult song to get hold of. It's called Angel by Jerry Burns and Sally Herbert.

The soundtrack of Crush was only released in Germany, to my knowledge, and you'll find it on Amazon.de but buying a copy is not easy.

It's also available as a download from a Russian MP3 site; but maybe EMI will deal with the contractual problems and put it out for general release sometime soon!

Saw the film recently and had the same reaction to the song. Wonderful. I haven't had any problem getting hold of the soundtrack (if you listen carefully it's playing even as I type this!), you can get it from 101cd.com, �8.95 inc p&p. Well worth it for that one song. I also saw the soundtrack in the Virgin Megastore in Birmingham while I was waiting for it to arrive in the post, so you really shouldn't have a problem getting hold of it.

Haven't found the lyrics anywhere, but according to my own ears and dodgy pc speakers they are:

I am your shadow, I am your rain, I am your longing, let alone your pain. I am red, I am blue, I am your angel, I am in you. Angel.

I am your madness, I am your tears, I am your sadness, I am your fears. I am restless, I am your dreams, I am the moments in between. Angel.

Don't know much about Jerry Burns, but she's listed on the Ectophiles website, which is good a recommendation as you'll get. She apparently released an album in 1992 (also listed at 101CD.com, but hasn't arrrived yet...).

I believe Sally Herbert is the cellist.

Thanks Jagtokia.  I have ordered the whole Crush soundtrack from Amazon.de - info from Golem. At least I think I did - it was all in German so a bit like fumbling in the dark, even with freetranslation.com!!

If I find I ordered the whole Crush CD translated into German I'll try again!  Many thanks for the info, and special thanks for the words!
