Nungate and mr Nungate (aka mis padres) would let me paint our windows black as a means to save little birds lives. We lost another one at tea time :(

I'll send Mr BM round. He is currently in "painting mode". I think he works on the basis of "if it doesn't move paint it, if it does move paint it til it stops". Our front door is neon yellow. He has just got his mother's antique table out and is doing something with that. If he touches my fekkin dresser he's a dead man.

I found that moving to an upper floor flat solved the stunned bird/glass window problem.

If anything flies into the window, it drops all the way to the ground, so you don't have to deal with it.

There's no point going downstairs to see if it's okay. By the time you get downstairs, the seagulls will have killed and eaten it.

You mean you have lost them to the windows, not the cat? Can you put net curtains up? They should see those quite well.
