Are kippers freely available in Madagascar - Im planning a trip and I need to know if I have to take my own. Incidentally, if I do have to take my own what vaccinations will they need?

I thought you were going to send your kippers to work (As in the question 'How do kippers work?'), so how come you are thinking of taking some to Madagascar?
Kippers are in very short supply in Madagascar and all travellers there are recommended to take their own supply. They will need vaccinations of either arsenic or strychnine or both. Err on the side of overdose if in doubt and eat them immediately on arrival to enjoy them at their very best.
