that's it. i've had it with these scum. 5 drivers today,on their mobiles. a danger to me and all others.they think they are in complete control of a car round roundabouts, round corners etc.no they are not if it was up to me,i'd have a £500 pound fine, and a loss of 6 penalty points.once more and they are out.good enough for these cretins.

Why are all you lot being so unkind to the OP? I wouldn't call them "scum" but they Are a danger to other people.
Bloody hell Chrissa, you know what some are like oh here? they only answer with negative answers regards Safety. I totally agree with banning the sods, & NO I never use my mobile whilst driving.
For Funks Sake it's just a rant, nothing constructive in the post whatsoever.
its a rant and its in cb, get of your high horse TWR
Keep your eyes on the road and not inside other people's cars, nosey.
Anybody who spends their time behind a wheel watching to see if other people are using a mobile phone is as big a danger as he says they are.
to be fair to jab, they havent said they were driving. i regulary nearly get run over by idiots on mobiles who fail to notice red lights or pelican crossings on my walk to work
I quite often use my phone when I'm driving, after all many new cars have bluetooth compatability, so synchronise your phone and away you go, no taking you hands off the wheel to hold your phone to your ear so nobody even knows you're on the phone and no different from talking to a person actually in the car with you. I am however in total agreement with you about the number of people you see driving while using the phone, unfortunately while it is a law that needs to be enforced, you'd need a dedicated squad nearly as big as the police force we've got now to do it and we all know that will never happen.
That's what you're supposed to do, paddy - it's the idiots who still hold their phones to their ears who are so stupid. Correct me if I am wrong, but using a hand-held phone while driving is still against the law.
A loss of 6 penalty points, a lot of drivers would pay good money for that.
I agree with you jab. If you ever watch Road Wars, the coppers on that frequently pull drivers over for talking on their mobiles. (Probably would have been best though if you'd posted in Motoring).
